The ZigBee Gateway supports up to 50 devices connected at one time (of the 1000s of compatible devices), using the ZigBee 3.0 protocol. Runs on 5V USB power. Power Adapter and USB cable included. The ZigBee Gateway Hub connects to a Wifi Router and all Smart devices that work with ZigBee connect to the Gateway Hub. The ZigBee3.0 protocol is very lightweight and efficient compared to Wifi, and this helps Smart devices use very little power (some lasting up to 5 years on one set of batteries).
